Western Blot: TrkB Antibody (OTI2E1) - Azide and BSA Free [NBP2-74624] - HEK293T cells were transfected with the pCMV6- ENTRY control (Left lane) or pCMV6-ENTRY NTRK2 (RC205129, Right lane) cDNA for 48 hrs and lysed. Equivalent amounts of cell lysates (5 ug per lane) were separated by SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with antiNTRK2.

Background: TrkB

TrkB is a tyrosine-protein kinase receptor involved in the development and/or maintenance of the nervous system. TrkB is a receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), neurotrophin-3 and neurotrophin-4/5, but not nerve growth factor (NGF). The major substrates for the TRK receptors are SHC1, PI-3 kinase, and PLC-gamma-1.
