Product Specifications

Immunogen

This antibody was raised by immunising Sprague Dawley rats with the CHO cells stably transfected with murine CD30 Ligand/TNFSF8 and fusing the splenocytes with P3U1 myeloma cells.

Specificity

This antibody is specific for murine CD30 Ligand/TNFSF8, a 40-kDa type II transmembrane protein member of the TNF superfamily. Interaction of CD30 with CD30 Ligand/TNFSF8 plays an important role in T cell activation/costimulation.

Scientific Data Images for CD30 Ligand/TNFSF8 Antibody (RM153) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: CD30 Ligand/TNFSF8 Antibody (RM153) - Chimeric [NBP3-11991] - Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed RAW264.7 cells on Shi-fix(TM) coverslips stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of RG9-35 (NBP3-11991) at 10 ug/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody (2 ug/ml), showing membrane staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom NBP3-11991, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was an unknown specificity antibody followed by staining with Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody.

Background: CD30 Ligand/TNFSF8

CD153 is a 39-40 kD type II membrane glycoprotein, also known as CD30 ligand or CD30L. This TNF superfamily member is expressed on activated T cells. CD153 has been reported to stimulate B-cell proliferation, antigen-specific antibody production, polyclonal immunoglobulin secretion, and T cell activation and proliferation. The RM153 antibody inhibits binding of CD153 to CD30.
