Description

Store vial at 4C prior to restoration. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

This antibody has been prepared from immunodeficient mouse ascites by protein A chromatography using specific conditions for subclass purification. Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Mouse IgG1 and anti-Mouse Serum. Isotyping assay resulted the material is non-reactive with antisera to mouse IgG2a, IgG2b, IgG3, IgM, and IgA. Peroxidase Conjugated Mouse IgG1 was proven by Dot Blot.

Background: IgG1

IgG is a monomeric immunoglobulin composed of two heavy chains and two light chains. There are four subclasses of the IgG: IgG1, IgG2, IgG3 and IgG4. Each molecule has two antigen binding sites. IgG is the most abundant immunoglobulin as well as the only isotype that can pass through the placent,a thereby providing protection to the fetus in its first weeks of life before, its own immune system has developed. IgG can bind to several different kinds of pathogens, for example viruses, bacteria and fungi, and it protects the body against them by complement activation (the classic pathway), opsonization for phagocytosis and neutralization of their toxins.
